Smoke odor reported at West Bloomfield apartment; crews investigate

6692 Stillwell, Section 2901, West Bloomfield · Oct 31, 2026, 2:48 PM

Engines and rescue units from two West Bloomfield stations were sent to an apartment building on Stillwell after a resident reported smelling smoke inside her unit. Crews arrived at what was described as a two-story condo and reported nothing visible. Some units, including a rescue, were released and returned to service shortly afterward. A later transmission appeared to say the odor came from cooking in an adjacent apartment and that the situation was under control, though the transcript is unclear. Remaining crews were later reported back in quarters.
