Fire alarm at Novi school after child pulls alarm

25549 Taft Road, Novi · Nov 7, 2026, 11:19 AM

Novi fire crews were dispatched to a general fire alarm at a school in the 25500 block of Taft Road. An employee called in to say a child had pulled the alarm, so the response was scaled back to a single engine going to take a report and reset the alarm. A second unit that had started out was told it could remain in quarters. The engine arrived on scene at about 11:32 AM, and the radio did not say what crews found there.
