Reported fire at Highland home on Anchor

1498 Anchor, Highland · Nov 5, 2026, 7:23 PM

Highland firefighters were sent to 1498 Anchor after an alarm company reported a smoke alarm and a homeowner said there appeared to be flames and smoke. Extra manpower was requested. The first crew found a two-story home with nothing showing outside, and everyone was reported out of the house. Crews then noted a smell of smoke and a white glow from the kitchen area and made entry to look for a pet reported inside. Later traffic mentioned crews checking upstairs and looking for the electrical box, but the radio did not clearly say how the call ended.
