Two-vehicle crash with airbag deployment in Independence Township

Independence Twp · Nov 4, 2026, 10:31 AM

Fire and rescue crews were sent to a two-vehicle crash in Independence Township after a report of a possible left shoulder injury and vehicles blocking the road. The radio said airbags deployed in both vehicles, and the call appeared to have been reported by an off-duty firefighter. Crews arriving found two vehicles in the middle of the road with moderate damage, and a later message indicated neither vehicle was occupied. The engine reported clear about 15 minutes after arriving; the radio did not give an exact location or say whether anyone was taken to a hospital.
