Scrap yard fire prompts mutual aid request for tankers

2823 East Bruno Road, Commerce Twp · Nov 3, 2026, 2:04 PM

Milford requested mutual aid for an uncontained fire at a scrap yard, which the radio gave as 2823 East Bruno Road. Commerce Township was asked to send a tanker, but its tanker was out of service, so crews offered an engine instead. Milford replied that it specifically wanted tankers and not an engine, and Commerce units were told to disregard and hold in quarters. The radio did not say how the scrap yard fire was brought under control.
