Vehicle and trailer fire near power lines on Woodward

44038 Woodward Avenue, Bloomfield Twp · Nov 2, 2026, 4:53 PM

Bloomfield Township fire crews were sent to a vehicle fire at 44038 Woodward Avenue. A caller reported a fully involved car with a trailer behind it, with a tree and high-tension power lines overhead and other vehicles nearby, so additional stations and a battalion chief were sent. Crews reported getting the fire under control and slowing the response of other stations, and one engine cleared the scene. Crews asked DTE to inspect the power lines because flames appeared to have reached them.
