Strange odor investigated at West Bloomfield home

6211 Lin Court, West Bloomfield · Nov 1, 2026, 9:54 PM

Fire units and ambulances were sent to a home on Lin Court in West Bloomfield for a strange odor in the basement near the furnace. The first engine arrived and reported a medium-sized two-story single-family home with nothing showing and the residents outside, and crews began investigating. Some responding units were released shortly after arrival, and command was terminated about 10 minutes later. The remaining units went back in service and returned to quarters; the radio did not say what caused the odor.
